Reheating Instructions

For Fed Pig delivery & takeout that has cooled down on the ride home, we’ve set you up with a few simple steps to perk it back up to fresh-off-the-chopping-block temp & quality: Set your oven to broil with an oven rack on the second notch down from the broiler. Remove the lid and place the whole tray under the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until everything is back up to your desired temp. Enjoy!

Read on to reheat holiday packages or Federalist Pig items that have been refrigerated:

Easter Family Pack

Start this process approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour before you plan to serve.

Pull the ham, mac & cheese, brussels sprouts, and mixed berry crumble from the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  • Remove cover from mac & cheese and place in oven
  • Allow to cook for 20-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted and begins to brown
  • Remove mac & cheese from oven

Turn oven to broil

  • Remove cover from ham and place on second shelf down from broiler
  • Heat ham under broiler for 5-10 minutes until it is warmed through, and glaze is browned and caramelized
  • If you want a crispy top on the mac and cheese place under the broiler as well for a couple minutes
  • Remove both items from the oven

Turn oven back to 400

  • Remove cover from brussels sprouts and mixed berry crumble and place in oven. The brussels sprouts will take about 3-5 minutes to warm through. The crumble should take about 20-30 minutes or until bubbly and browned.

If you want to warm up the rolls this would be a good time to do that. Those should only take 3-4 minutes to warm up.

A La Carte Meats

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Remove plastic wrap but keep the lid on the foil pan.
  • Place in oven for 20-30 minutes or until reheated to desired temperature.
  • For Glazed Ham and Short Ribs, remove lid once almost warmed through and turn oven to broil for the last 3-5 minutes to allow the glaze to set before serving.

Turkey

Your turkey will be fully cooked, so you just need to reheat it to desired temperature.

  • Preheat oven to 375-400º.
  • Turkey will be cooked Thanksgiving Day so will likely still be warm or at least not cold when you pick up.
  • Remove plastic from pan of turkey. Turkey should be sitting in juices and herb butter.
  • Place pan with turkey and herb butter in oven and heat until warmed through to your liking, about 25-30 minutes.
  • For a crispy skin, turn oven to broil for a few minutes at the end of the heating process.
  • Once removed from the oven, allow the turkey to rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
